Great overview, Heather! Thanks for putting that together. You outlined a few aspects of Perplexity I wasn’t aware of.

I love it, and I use it as part of my tool kit.

Ooh! “Don't entirely trust”! Tickle my amygdala, marketers!

Definitely need to give it a try.

I do a lot of research work and I use AI for brainstorm, fact-check my assumptions, find countrarian views, etc. Need to have a look to Perplexity. Nice piece !

Thanks for the article, I have been using perplexity for more than a year and it has - as you said - some ups and downs.

Yup - can be really annoying!

How about Grok? It works well as a research tool, has access to information from X and is using their new quad agent approach. I use both Perplexity (primary) and Grok (secondary, free version) but I’ve considered the paid version of Grok for advanced research. Thoughts? TIA

I don't have a huge amount of experience with Grok, actually. But you make a good point, because Grok has access to X and all the others have been blocked from X as of last year.

This is a great breakdown of Perplexity, going much further than a quick "how to start using it." Hearing how you use it gave me ideas for how to incorporate it into my business. I always appreciate the critical 360 view including potential pitfalls that may not be obvious when you start using it. Thanks!

Thank you and so good to hear it’s sparking ideas. I think even if you know every tool like the back of your hand, it’s still hard to imagine all the ways it can be used!
