The analogy I think of is knowing how to drive a car - a person can learn how to drive, but that doesn't mean I would put them in a racecar, nor would I let them drive a bus full of schoolkids!
I'm also interested in how people think about the data when it comes to deployment: like you say in the article, ask about the data strategy and this becomes clear whether it's been considered. Just because you have access to data (eg company data) doesn't mean you should use it when AI goes into production.
I realise you've included this in the ethics section, but compliance or regulation have more impact than simply "should we" it's even more "can we or will we be fined" (or worse)
This resonates so much with me--before joining the AI Edit I did some online courses, and "played around" with ChatGPT which is what they all suggest. The AI Edit is helping me expand my use of AI to be more strategic, not just tactical.
Crucially, I have started asking questions and being more critical of where and when I use AI. For me this is the competitive edge I have been looking for--I want to be spending my limited time building AI fluency in areas where it will make the most impact on my business, not just throwing everything at it to see what sticks.

This is amazing. Thank you so much, and it's amazing to have you as part of the AI edit.
